Sometimes, what's real is
not what you say
out loud,
but what you say to
yourself.
Strainer's music is true, like someone's inner grumblings,
but amplified. Louder.
"Being a three-piece
keeps our music simple," says bass player O.D. Klazfadge.
"We used to have like 10 members of the band, but we got trapped in a
snowbank
in the van and
had to eat the horn section and percussionist. OK, wait, I'm faking
it. We're
the horn section, and we stole their instruments. None of us is a
percussionist,
that was made up too."
The band features
Vlad
Gladbag on guitar,
Neuss Nuesslosky on
drums, and
Klazfadge
on bass. All three
sing
and make
noise.
Their new CD,
A Demonstration
of Skill and
Strength
is available
now.
