Bass is that thing that lies between
The unconscious and the divine.
It's like a power line, swollen with energy.
But like the earth under your feet when you're out walking on a sunny day,
You usually notice everything else first...birds, water trees and smiles...
All the highs, while all the time there's this massive rock with creatures and
people living on it, right there
Under it all, unnoticed and unloved (especially by those in power.)
That's not the case in Strainer. The bass is there with its
hand up, waiting to bowl you over.
(Mad props to my man Gladbag who turned it up and staked his recording reputation
on the underground sound.)
The rest take heed!
All that you keep down comes out somehow, and bass is oozing out of the background!
You don't believe me? Take a training ride on these tracks.
In these times, you can't help but question what lies beneath the CNN of our
perception.
If there's anything left of your ears, you'll have to listen for the bass again
elsewhere.
Yes, you.
Thank you very much.
